IOPAMIRO (iopamidol)
Iopamiro is an X ray contrast medium of the new generation of non-ionic compounds, which are water soluble because the molecular structure incorporates hydrophilic groups.
It is remarkably tolerated locally and systematically due to its low osmotic pressure, the nonionic nature of the molecule and its inherently low chemotoxicity.
General indications include:
Angiography
Neuroradiology
Contrast Enhancements
CT Scanning, Arthrography, Fistulography etc.
Iopamiro should be stored below 25 C. It must be kept away from light. Iopamiro 370, 100ml bottle is available in Ghana currently.
